I'm Shane Van Pelt, a Graphic Designer based near Seattle, Washington, specializing in brand identity and digital design. My work blends clean, modern aesthetics with purposeful design, helping businesses communicate their message with clarity and impact. My design style is often described as simple, clean, and detail-oriented, with a strong focus on functionality and visual harmony.
My Story
As a child, I was never quite sure what I wanted to do with my life. I dreamed of many paths such as becoming a firefighter, joining the military, or working a hands-on, blue-collar job. But everything changed when I entered high school and discovered a passion for art. Inspired by the idea of working in the video game industry, I explored different roles within the field, from game processing to programming. However, none of them truly resonated with me.

That all shifted when I took a digital art class and was introduced to Photoshop. It opened up a whole new world of creativity. I was captivated by the possibilities of visual design and quickly immersed myself in learning everything I could. This experience sparked a desire to pursue further education, so I could sharpen my skills and become a valuable contributor in the creative field.
In college, my passion deepened. I didn’t just develop technical skills, I fell in love with graphic design as a whole. My dedication was reflected in my academic performance: I consistently made the Presidential List at Everett Community College by maintaining a 4.0 GPA and became a member of Phi Theta Kappa. I will proudly graduate with high honors.

Looking ahead, I’m eager to continue growing as a designer. I hope to expand my skill set by learning animation and exploring new creative tools. My ultimate goal is to join a video game production studio, where I can bring ideas to life and contribute to the kind of projects that have always inspired me.
